Accompanied by beaming family members and amidst hugs and applause from the health care workers who treated her, nurse Amber Vinson departed a press conference at Emory University Hospital on Tuesday as the fourth patient successfully treated for Ebola virus infection here.

"As a nurse, and now as someone who has experienced what it's like to be cared for through a life-threatening illness, I am so appreciative and grateful for your exceptional skill, warmth and care," Vinson told the more than two dozen Emory University Hospital employees gathered behind her on the stage during the press conference.

* Each year in the United States, more than 200,000 women get breast cancer and more than 40,000 women die from the disease.
* Men also get breast cancer, but it is not very common. Each year in the United States, about 2,000 men get breast cancer and about 400 men die from the disease.

At Emory, defining the link between primary and mental health care

Researchers have known since the late 1980s that people with a serious mental health disorder are generally sicker and die younger than those without such a disorder. The weak link between mental health care and primary or specialist care is one that Emory's Benjamin Druss and Silke von Esenwein have sought to better define. Both professors are part of the Center for Behavioral Health Policy Studies, founded in 2013 and housed at the Rollins School of Public Health.
